Biography

 Pianist Youngho Park was born in Incheon, South Korea in 1993. Most recently, he was first prize winner at the 22nd Ile de France International Piano Competition, garnering six recitals throughout France. In the same month he won 1st prize at the Oeiras piano competition in Portugal and 3rd prize at the Ricard Viñes international piano competition in Spain, and was invited to several piano festivals and piano recitals in Portugal and Spain. In addition, He was invited to perform at the ‘Festival Piano en Saintonge’ at the invitation of Anne Queffélec, a leading female pianist in France, and also was invited to perform at the ‘Feuerwerk Piano Academy’ in Einbeck, Germany. And He also won at Online Competitions due to Covid Pandamic. He won 1st Prize with several Concert engagements and Schorlarships at the NOMEA Competition, 1st Prize and Concert engagement in Spain at the ‘Citta di San Dona di Piave’ International Piano Competition.

His further accolades include Third Prize from F. Mendelssohn Hochschulwettbewerb in Berlin, Second Prize and Special Prize from organizer “TangoBrücke” at the M. Ciurlionis International Piano Competition in Vilnius, Lithuania, Second Prize at the Berliner Festwoche International Piano Competition, Beethoven Special Prize at the MozARTe International Piano Competition, Second Prize at the ‘Young Piano Stars’ International Piano Competition in Berlin, Grand-Prix at the Samick Seiler Piano Competition. In addition, as an avid vocal accompanist, Park was recipient of the “Best Accompanist Award” from the Korean Schubert Association and Yeonji-Lied Competition in his homeland, South Korea.

A seasoned performer, Park has given numerous solo recitals and concerts in South Korea, Germany, France, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Austria, Belgium, Dubai, Lithuania, and has performed with the Konzerthaus Berlin, Kaliningrad Symphony Orchestra, Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès, Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, Gunpo Philharmonic Orchestra, and Seoul National University Philharmonic Orchestra. Additionally, as a versatile musician, he worked as répétiteur in various opera productions such as ‘Le nozze di Figaro’ in Seoul National University, ‘Don Pasqualle’ at the Kangdong Opera Center, and the Riccardo Muti Opera Academy’s rendition of ‘La Traviata’ at the Sungnam Art Center. Youngho earned his Bachelor of Music Degree at Seoul National University as a beneficiary of the Hyundai Motors ‘Chung-mong-koo Foundation, studying with Prof. Jonghwa Park. Furthering his studies, He is a student of Prof. Roland Krüger at the Hannover Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien. He obtained his Masters and Soloklasse Degree with highest distinction and currently studying Orchestra Conducting with Martin Brauß. 

피아니스트 박영호는 1993년 인천에서 태어나 만 12세에 본격적인 음악 공부를 시작했다. 2021년 프랑스 파리에서 열린 Ile de France International Piano Competition에서 1위, 포르투갈 Oeiras Piano Competition에서 1위, 스페인 레리다에서 열린 Ricard Viñes International Piano Competition에서 3위를 연이어 수상하며 국제 무대에서 괄목할 만한 성과를 이루어 냈다. 21/22 시즌에 프랑스 전역에서 6번의 리사이틀 투어를 진행했으며, 포르투갈에서 2개의 페스티벌과 리사이틀, 스페인에서의 리사이틀을 성공적으로 마쳤다. 또한 프랑스를 대표하는 여류 피아니스트 Anne Queffélec의 초청으로 Festival Piano en Saintonge 에서 연주했으며 독일의 Feuerwerk Piano Academy에 초청받았다.

독일, 프랑스, 스페인, 포르투갈, 벨기에, 두바이, 리투아니아, 오스트리아, 이탈리아 등에서 연주했으며 Konzerthaus Berlin, Bozar, Esterhazy Palace, Altes Musik Hannover, Niestetaler Kammerkonzerte Klavierfestival, Piano festival "Tableaux d'Automne", Institut hongrois Paris, L'Odéon de Tremblay-en-France, Koreanisches Kulturzentrum Berlin, Pro Musica Pamiers, Centre culturel de quartier Soupetard Toulouse, Auditori Municipal Enric Granados Llieda, International Piano Festival of the Algarve, Mafra Music Festival, Château de Palaminy, 예술의 전당, 세종문화회관, 일신홀, 엘림아트센터, 콩치노콩크리트 등 유럽과 한국의 다양한 무대에서 연주했다.

한국에서 2009년 경기예술고등학교 정기 음악회 협연으로 첫 공식 무대를 가진 이후 음악춘추, 수리, 음악세계, 한국 리스트 콩쿨, 이화경향, 음연, 성정 등 국내 유수의 콩쿨에서 수상했으며 제 48회 삼익-자일러 피아노 콩쿠르에서 전체대상을 수여받으며 ㈜삼익악기의 후원으로 리사이틀을 가졌다. 이후 도독하여 리투아니아의 수도 Vilnius 에서 열린 M.Ciurlionis International Piano Competition에서 2위와 함께 ‘Tango brücke’ 협회에서 수여하는 특별상을 수상했으며 F. Mendelssohn Bartoldy Hochschulwettbewerb, Maria Canals International Piano Competition등 다양한 국제무대에서 수상했다. Konzerthaus Berlin, Philharmonischen Orchesters der Hansestadt Lübeck, Kiev Virtuosi, Kaliningrad Symphony Orchestra, Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès, Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, 군포 프라임 필하모닉, SNUPO(서울대학교 아마추어 오케스트라)와 협연했으며 Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra와의 협연은 리투아니아 공영방송국을 통해 전국에 생중계 되었다.

또한 성악음악에 대한 깊은 애정으로 제 25회 슈베르트 가곡 콩쿠르와 제 5회 청도 연지가곡콩쿠르에서 최고반주자상을 수상하였고, 슈만의 시인의 사랑(Dichterliebe)를 중심으로 한 ‘Romantic Recital’ 을 기획하는 등 가곡 연주에도 힘쓰고 있으며 2022년에 주독일한국문화원의 후원으로 독일 마그데부르크의 문화의 밤(Magdeburger Kulturnacht)에서 한국가곡을 알리는 공연을 직접 기획, 연주했다. 서울대학교 재학생들과 함께 ‘Le Nozze di Figaro’ 프로덕션을 기획해 음악코치와 오페라 반주로 참여했으며, 강동아트센터와 서울대학교 오페라연구소가 공동으로 기획한 오페라 'Don Pasqualle' 프로덕션에 참여하였고, 리카르도 무티 오페라 아카데미(La Traviata)에 참가했다. 이후 23/24 시즌부터 독일 뤼벡 오페라극장의 전속 피아니스트 및 오페라코치로 활동중이다. 지휘자로서 Theater für Niedersachsen, Göttinger Symphonieorchester, Meininger Hofkapelle, Wernigerode Kammerorchester 등을 지휘했으며, 24/25 시즌 뤼벡 오페라 극장의 Frank Martin의 오페라 Le vin Herbe에서 부지휘자로 일했다.

 2011년부터 2017년까지 지속적으로 현대차 정몽구재단의 후원을 받으며 경기예술고등학교에서 피아니스트 박서현, 서울대학교에서 피아니스트 박종화를 사사했으며, Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover에서 석사 및 최고연주자 과정을 Roland Krüger와 공부했다. 현재는 동 대학에서 Martin Brauß와 지휘 석사과정을 공부하고 있다.
